Story

The Fight introduces a piano to the band.  Like living in a daze, the song journals the events and emotions of a event that ends the relationship.

Lyrics

The impressions in my mind
Are like daggers to my heart
They hurt like you were inclined
To slay me from the start
The words you said still make me dread the memory of the fight

Reaching back in time
I can see the long hard climb
The rush of your sweet love
Is gone and void of
Any hope and prayer of repair after the fight

Ramblin’ on about our foolish pride
Swearin’ we never told a lie
The secrets left denied
The walls we built real and implied
They left us untied

Doesn’t it feels so trite
The harsh words of our fight
How we tore it down
And told the whole damn town
The looks we got when we told the lot of the memory of the fight

Now that we are through
Throwing rocks, stones and lies
Done with our debut
Making sure of our demise
It’s all destroyed and we’re left alone after the fight

Ramblin’ on about our foolish pride
Swearin’ we never told a lie
The secrets left denied
The walls we built real and implied
They left us untied
